One of the network’s outages usually encountered by Sony gamers was last experienced recently, and for several hours, gamers were unable to use any of the online features. This event similarly affected thousands of users worldwide, with many unable to sign into and out of their accounts, participate in online games, or stream any of their available content.

The unavailability led to the disappointment of many gamers, who took to social media to express their ire. Most of them experienced difficulties in engaging in online gaming, downloading games, or even using their cloud-dedicated save files. Some of the gamers also had issues with the purchase of games from the PlayStation Store; therefore, no new games could be bought or silent updates completed.

The company confirmed the problem on the dedicated status page and on social media, promising that the PlayStation outage would be fixed in the shortest time possible. Seemingly after many hours, the said services were restored progressively.

Although outages are common occurrences, this particular one angered a lot of people who were members of the community owing to their varied reasons, including those who had logged on to play games and others who were in Live Server challenges. Gamers are optimistic that that will not be the case in the unfortunate future for more unexplainable problems.
